Coauthor Team Kristina Kelly and Jonathan Fuller Launch Debut Novel Fusing Their Favorite Elements of Sci-Fi and Fantasy

A family-friendly book launch event and signing for Trials of the Innermost will include music and poetry activities inspired by the novel on June 3rd from 12-2pm at Gal’s Guide Library (the first women’s history lending library) 107 S 8th St, Noblesville, Indiana.

Sometimes the longest journey is to discover your true self. In a world that stopped spinning, six young people embark on a quest to preserve peace between their homelands and fulfill a prophecy that says they will save their world from being devoured.

Best friends J&K wrote an epic adult sci-fi fantasy adventure that began as a video game idea in 2014. Writing long distance, and converting the idea to a novel series, J&K’s own quest culminates with the release of Trials of the Innermost. Written from six points of view, it is a story that is a testament to the powers of friendship. For fans of video games where lost technologies are found, like Horizon Zero Dawn and Mass Effect, and epic fantasy books with multiple POVs, like Malazan Book of the Fallen and The Stormlight Archive. Available for preorder now from Hansen House Books.

Join Kristina and Jonathan at their book launch on June 3rd at Gal’s Guide Library from 12-2pm for Q&A, a chance to win an ocarina, write poetry like Kilahym the bard, and hear piano themes composed for the characters. Books will be available for purchase.

Three distinct realms: one of light, one of dark, and one of twilight. Years of war between them. The Six Truthseekers’ talents range from magic channeled through music to explosive crystals. They will need all their unique abilities to survive the Trials, which take them through scorched wastes, a wall of storms, and the shadowed Fellwood. A fragment of an alien force called the Penumbra has possessed one of their own and the Truthseekers must overcome their differences and work together to stop the malevolent entity before they lose their friend—and their world—to the Penumbra’s hunger.

Could you defeat the darkness within?
