Wen is a member of the avian species called othwits, medium-sized birds with sharp beaks and talons and superb eyesight. They are carnivorous with a diet consisting primarily of insects, small rodents, and fish. Different types of othwits inhabit Etherea’s regions, but Wen belongs to the cliff-dwelling subspecies that is native to Sondrine and northern Heathström. Cliff-dwelling othwits are known for their hunting abilities and extended flight range. Like many of her kin, Wen has been adopted and trained by a Sondrinel to serve as a companion, scout, and protector. Her life force bond with Idrilia permits rudimentary communication through the sharing of impressions and sensations.
