Profile
Vayriel lost her parents early in life and was raised by her grandparents in one of the tight-knit Highblood communities, called coils. She displayed a deep connection to the life force from a young age, which manifested in the formation of a permanent bond with an animal companion. Like all her people, she was taught to consider life in all its form sacred and employ violence as a last resort. Vayriel sought to follow in her parents’ footsteps and became a Watcher: a protector of her coil. In all her duties she excelled, but still hungered for a sense of purpose and belonging. Her selection as a Truthseeker came as a surprise, but also with a revelation that changed the course of her life’s direction.
